One man alone, before the sea
as darkness has it’s way,
and like an inky fog descends
across the silver bay.

Even sound of rolling surf
seem muffled by the night,
that chases down the fading rays
of the evening light.

Only stars, themselves entrapped
by envelops of gloom,
can push small beams of welcome light
through night’s celestial womb.

Reflections in man’s heart and mind
are like the ebb and flow,
that, even on the darkened sands,
must surely come and go.

A time to gently meditate,
and set his feelings free..
as one man finds.. himself..
in solitude of the sea.
